About TurkeyCharters.com

An independent guide to private charters in Turkey

TurkeyCharters.com is an independent travel resource dedicated to helping travellers discover private gulet charters, yacht holidays and catamaran experiences in Turkey.

From the historic harbours of Bodrum to the sheltered bays around Göcek and Fethiye, Turkey offers a remarkable coastline for exploring by private boat. We created TurkeyCharters.com to make it easier for travellers to understand their charter options, explore popular destinations and plan a sailing holiday that suits their interests.

Our primary focus is private gulet charters: a distinctive way to experience Turkey's Mediterranean and Aegean coastlines aboard traditional wooden vessels, often accompanied by a professional onboard crew.

Our focus

We concentrate on three main types of private charter experiences.

Private Gulet Charters

Gulets are traditional wooden motor-sailing vessels closely associated with the Turkish Blue Cruise experience. Private gulet holidays can offer an opportunity to explore coastal destinations, spend time in secluded bays and enjoy a more flexible holiday with family or friends.

We place particular emphasis on private, crewed gulet holidays, including multi-day and weekly charter experiences. Browse our private gulet charters page to learn more.

Private Yacht Charters

For travellers interested in a different type of private boating experience, we also cover yacht charters in Turkey. These may suit visitors looking for a more contemporary vessel, different onboard facilities or alternative cruising arrangements.

Private Catamaran Charters

Catamarans provide another option for exploring Turkey's coastline. Their distinctive twin-hull design can offer generous deck space and a different onboard layout for private groups and families. Read more about private catamaran charters.

Exploring Turkey's charter destinations

Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coastlines offer a variety of destinations, harbours and cruising areas.

Our destination coverage includes:

• Bodrum: A well-known coastal destination with a long-standing sailing and yachting culture.
• Göcek: Known for its sheltered bays, islands and attractive cruising routes.
• Fethiye: A popular starting point for exploring the surrounding coastline and nearby islands.
• Marmaris: A major marina and boating destination with access to a wide cruising area.

We aim to help visitors understand what makes these destinations different and what they may want to consider when choosing a charter location.

Our approach

We believe that planning a private boat holiday should begin with understanding the available options.

A suitable charter depends on several factors, including the type of vessel, group size, travel dates, preferred destinations, trip duration, onboard facilities and budget.

Rather than treating every charter as the same experience, we aim to explain these differences and help visitors identify the options that may suit their plans.

We also aim to distinguish between private multi-day gulet holidays, private day charters and shared boat excursions. These experiences can differ considerably in terms of privacy, itinerary, onboard arrangements and overall cost.

Our goal is to provide useful, straightforward travel information rather than make unrealistic promises about individual charter experiences.
